Update: The competition closing date has been extended to 31st January 2023 and the number of entries has increased from 3 to 5 taken within the last 5 years.

Aim

Organisation

The competition is being run by Lambourn Camera Club, on behalf of Lambourn Parish Council.

Criteria for judging:

In line with the aims of the competition, the judges will assess entries on the following basis:

  • Technical quality
  • Representation of the character of the Lambourn Parish
  • Diversity of the leading images in showing different aspects and areas of the Parish (for example, village life, buildings, local landscape, etc) and at different times of the year.

Criteria for Entry

Entries must be the sole work of the photographer.

Entries may be submitted by any person living in the Parish of Lambourn (including Upper Lambourn, Lambourn, Eastbury, Lambourn Woodlands, Lambourn St Mary) or be a member of the Lambourn Camera Club, at the time of submitting the photograph.

The subject matter can be any topic or scene within the geographic area of the Parish.

Entrants are limited to a maximum of five photographs each.

Entries may be submitted as digital photographs (jpeg) or photographic prints, in colour or black and white. (Note that, for display in the Memorial Hall, the images will need to be printed, and the judges will need to satisfy themselves that the submission is of a high enough standard and photographic resolution to be printed and displayed.  The printing of the images chosen for hanging in the Memorial Hall will be the responsibility of the Parish Council.)

Entries must have been taken within five years of the closing date for submissions.
